Teams & client access
Invite your staff, give each person the right level of access, and hand a client a read-only view of just their sites.
There are two layers of access in DeadWatch: an org-wide role every user has, and teams that scope people to specific sites. Use teams when you want a teammate — or a client — to see only part of your roster.
Invite a teammate
- Go to Users in the sidebar.
- Click Invite User.
- Enter their Email and Display Name.
- Pick a Role (see the list below).
- Leave Send invite on to email them a login link, or turn it off and set a password yourself.
- Click Invite User (or Create User).
You'll know it worked when… the new person appears in the Users list with an invited badge, and the toast reads "User invited — login link sent."
Org roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full control of the org — sites, settings, teams, notifications, PM. |
| Support Lead | Front-line ticket workflow, workload routing, time auditing, exports. |
| Support | Front-line ticket workflow; read-only on infrastructure and org settings. |
| Member | View sites, trigger checks, read reports. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to sites and incidents. |
(Super Admin also exists — Admin plus private financial data — and is reserved for owners.)
Give a client scoped access
A client should see their sites and nothing else. That's what a team is for.
- Go to Teams and click Create Team (name it after the client).
- Open the team, click Add Team Member, choose the person, and give them the Member team role — "View team sites only."
- Click Assign Site and add each site that belongs to that client.
- Invite the client as a Viewer org role first (Users → Invite User) if they don't have a login yet, then add them to the team.
You'll know it worked when… the client logs in and sees only the sites assigned to their team — everything else in your roster stays hidden.
Team roles
| Team role | Scope |
|---|---|
| Team Admin | Manage members and sites within this team. |
| Team Lead | View sites, manage assignments. |
| Member | View team sites only. |
Per-team capabilities you can grant include Trigger Scans, View Incidents, View Reports, View Performance, and View Status Page.
Remove access
- To pull a person off a client: open the team and click Remove member.
- To stop sharing a site with a team: click Unassign site on that site row.
Next: Notifications & incidents → — route each team's alerts to the right place.
